Almost half way through in little over a month of play and here are the standings.

Here's the latest standings along with the scores of the games. The no hitter from the 2016 Cubs along with a come from behind win from the Yankees and the Grays 1st win!

The Negro Leaguers, 1937 Homestead Grays, finally won their 1st game vs the 1911 Giants and Red Ames.

Jon Lester outdueled Don Drysdale today at Wrigley Field, pitching a no hitter. He was a walk away from a perfect game. The Cubs defeat the 1962 Dodgers 2-0! This is my 2nd no hitter in OOTP.

The 1976 Reds finally lost to the 1908 Cubs who are suppose to be contenders.

The 1991 Pirates finally lost their first game at Ebbett's Field against the 1941 Dodgers in a pitcher's duel. Back to back doubles gave the Dodgers the win. 2011 Phils only 1/2 game back, so if they win they'll be tied for 1st!

We are 1/3 of the way through the season already. We have serious contenders and some duds. We still have 3 undefeated teams. Grays remained only team without a win. Surprises- 1991 Pirates, 1995 Mariners, 2011 Phillies Disappointments- 1930 A's, 1971 Orioles, 1968 Tigers, 1951 Giants, 1941 Dodgers, 1908 Cubs and 2016 Cubs

Cesar Geronimo hit for the cycle and the 76 Reds, one of the best teams in baseball history absolutely destroyed the 1937 Homestead Grays. Granted the Grays could hit off the Reds 5th starter, with Buck Leonard getting 2 homers..but their pitching is horrific. Reds stay unbeaten, while Grays have yet to win against any historic MLB team.

The Mariners, Phillies, Pirates, Red Sox and Senators continue to win. Only teams without a win are the Angels and Grays. Hoping the Negro Leaguers can finally win one, but their pitching is horrible. To me the surprise teams are the 95 Mariners and the 91 Pirates. And I am happy my 2011 Phils are winning. To me if they continue, they might be the best ever Phils team.

With the new OOTP 18 that has come out, the Negro Leagues and Federal League was added. So starting with League 5, I will be adding one or the other during the league. This league features the 1937 Homestead Grays. Here is what the league will look like.
