At Navin Field in Detroit, Schoolboy Rowe mowed down 18 Rockies through 9 innings to win 3-2. Colorado tried to come back in the 8th with a inside the park HR from Matt Holliday but were shut down in the 9th. Jeff Francis pitched respectable in a losing effort for the Rockies.
